History

1954 The Manufacturing division was separated from Honda Trading Co.,Ltd. and Honda Metal Industries was established.
1960 Started the production of aluminum Shapes, bars and pipes by installing 750-ton extrusion press by hydraulic pressure.
1963 Inazawa factory was newly built and installed 1250-ton eXtrusion press by horizontal oil hydraulic pressure, manufacturing facilities for die, and aluminum billet casting machine.
1967-'68 Inazawa works installed 1500-ton extrusion press by horizontal oil hydraulic pressure in 1967 and also installed one more1500-ton eXtrusion press in '68.
1969 Ena works was newly constructed at Ena city, Gifu Pref.
Main equipment:1800-ton extrusion press by horizontal oil hydraulic pressure, manufacturing facilities for die, automatic anodizing equipment and 1250-ton extrusion press transferred from Inazawa works.
Paid up capital was increased to
¥48,000,000.
1972 Modernized anodizing facility to have monthly 1000-ton capacity of colored surface treatment.
1973 Installed 1500-ton extrusion press at Ena works.
1975 Installed 2350-ton extrusion press at Inazawa works.
1981 Inazawa works replaced 1500-ton extrusion press with new mechanism.
Fukushima works was newly built and the fabricating division of Inazawa works was transferred.
Paid up capital increased to ¥96,000,000.
1983 Ena East wosks was newly built and the fabricating division of Ena works was transferred to Ena East works.
1984 The Second new anodizing facility was built at Ena works, Which capacity of surface tretment is 800-ton per month.
1986 Expanded Ena East works.
1987-'88 Ena works replaced aluminum billet casting machine with new HOT-TOP Process in1987 and also installed new 1650-ton extrusion press in '88.
1989 Takenami works was newly constructed at Ena city Techno Park, and 1500-ton extrusion press by horizontal oil hydraulic pressure was transferred to Takenami works from Inazawa works.
1992 The third new anodizing facility was built at Ena works, which capacity of surface tretment is 750-ton per month.
1993 Ena works replaced 1250-ton extrusion press with 1400-ton extrusion press by horizontal oil hydraulic pressure.
1995 Expanded Ena East works.
1997 It is established horizontal oil pressure 2500-ton pushing out machine by Ena east works.
2001 Vina Mold & Metal Products Co., Ltd. is established in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
2006 Honda Metal Industries Vietnam, Ltd. is established near Ho Chi Minh City, Binh Duong Province, Vietnam.
